Jessica Reading is a Multi-Skilled Engineer with the Merlin Entertainment Group, working at the Alton Towers Resort in Staffordshire. Within this role, she is involved in the maintenance and smooth running of the attractions at the UK’s largest theme park. Jessica recently completed an Engineering Degree Apprenticeship in Control and Automation, and has received a number of accolades throughout her time as an apprentice from organisations such as the IET, iMeche, MAKE, Elektra, RMA, Elektra and most recently, chosen as one of Electronics Weekly and RS Components BrightSparks winners. Acting as a STEM Ambassador and Wise Member and YAAN representative, Jessica hopes to inspire those with little knowledge of the industry to explore the sector and consider STEM careers as she feels passionate about equal opportunity alongside diversity and inclusion.
