We at Electronics Weekly want to recognise the best of what this industry has to offer, worldwide. The Elektra Awards recognise excellence within the global electronics industry, and we welcome entries from manufacturers, distributors, designers, individuals, research groups and start-ups in order to accurately reflect the nature of today’s dynamic electronics industry.

Manufacturer of the Year

Manufacturers, including OEMs, sub-contractors, and EMS companies with operations in the UK qualify to enter for this award. It will go to the manufacturer that has demonstrated the most impressive level of commercial success and executed new business projects in global markets over the past 12 months. For your entry to be considered, the judges will want to see evidence of achievements between 01 June 2022 – 31 May 2023.


Start-up of the Year

Venture funded or privately financed companies that operate in Europe in the past five years can enter for this award. Judges will look for evidence that a company is building a business to be competitive in global markets, in design, manufacturing or distribution. For your entry to be considered, the judges will want to see evidence of achievements between 01 June 2022 – 31 May 2023

Automotive Electronics Award

This award celebrates the achievements of design engineers in developing market specific end-products. It will recognise innovative product design which has had a significant impact in its market. This category is open to component suppliers and end-product OEMs. To be eligible for this award, products must have been completed between 01 June 2022 – 31 May 2023 


Design Tool and Development Software Product of the Year

An award for the software design tool, application or software IP that demonstrates technical capabilities which differentiate it from competitor products. To be eligible for this award, products must have been completed between 01 June 2022 – 31 May 2023

Excellence in Product Design Award (High-Reliability Systems, incl. Medical)

This award celebrates the achievements of design engineers in developing high-reliability end-products, whether for space, medical, avionics or other markets. It will recognise innovative product design which has made a significant impact in its relevant sector. This category is open to component suppliers and end-product OEMs. To be eligible for this award, products must have been completed between 01 June 2022 – 31 May 2023



Internet-of-Things Product of the Year

This award will be presented for a semiconductor reference design, or system level product, that best demonstrates technical capabilities and usefulness for the internet-of-things (IoT). We’d also like to identify and celebrate organisations which demonstrate good IoT security stewardship. To be eligible for this award, products must have been completed between 01 June 2022 – 31 May 2023


LED Lighting Product of the Year

This award will be presented to a semiconductor lighting product which demonstrates technical capabilities and usefulness, differentiates it from competing products and has been introduced over the past 12 months. Eligible products are LEDs, lighting modules, luminaires and driver ICs. As well as performance data, judges will be looking for evidence of how the product addresses and solves specific design issues. Judges will be looking for evidence of product performance presented in numbers and/or design applications. To be eligible for this award, products must have been completed between 01 June 2022 – 31 May 2023



Passive & Electromechanical Product of the Year

An award for a passive or electromechanical component demonstrating technical capabilities that differentiate it from its competitors. To be eligible for this award, products must have been completed between 01 June 2022 – 31 May 2023


Power System Product of the Year

This award is for the power product that demonstrates technical capabilities which differentiate it from its competitors. To be eligible for this award, products must have been completed between 01 June 2022 – 31 May 2023



Semiconductor Product of the Year (Analogue)

An award for an analogue or mixed signal semiconductor that demonstrates technical capabilities which differentiate it from competitor products. To be eligible for this award, products must have been completed between 01 June 2022 – 31 May 2023



Semiconductor Product of the Year (Digital)

This award is for a digital semiconductor IC or chip where the digital element is the main differentiating function, demonstrating technical capabilities that differentiate it from its competitors. To be eligible for this award, products must have been completed between 01 June 2022 – 31 May 2023

Test Product of the Year

This award will be won by a test instrument or system that demonstrates technical capabilities and usefulness which differentiates it from competitor products. To be eligible for this award, products must have been completed between 01 June 2022 – 31 May 2023

Design Team of the Year

This award is open to OEMs and design houses involved in product development projects. Entries should include the description of a project which has been active during the past 12 months (01 June 2022 – 31 May 2023).

This award will be presented to a company that demonstrates a commitment to the education of future engineers by providing support to schools, colleges, or universities. Rising Star

Award Electronics Weekly is looking for a talented young engineer in their first five years in the industry. Companies and universities can enter candidates who demonstrate a high level of practical skill and ambition and are actively contributing to the business. To be eligible for this award, the submission must relate to achievements made in the past 12 months (01 June 2022 – 31 May 2023).
